Project Background

The tobacco industry has the characteristics of large material flow, multiple transportation links, high degree of automation and flexibility in the production process, and strict requirements for information control and management systems. In recent years, major tobacco companies have continuously applied new technologies to improve work efficiency and control costs. As a landmark equipment in the modern production process, AGV has the conditions to better meet the above characteristics. This project is mainly to provide a company in the tobacco industry with a full-process unmanned automation service integrating storage, sorting and distribution. The degree of automation is required to reach more than 90%. At the same time, in order to implement the "Made in China 2025" strategic plan proposed by the State Council, it is required that the proportion of domestically produced products in the project far exceeds that of imported products.

Difficulties and countermeasures in implementatio

Due to site restrictions, the project needs to increase storage capacity, design the temporary storage area as a dense storage area, use shuttles for storage, and AGV for transfer. There are two main difficulties in the process of promoting this project.

First, for dense warehouses with limited physical space in warehouses, how to achieve efficient scheduling of goods in and out of the warehouse? By establishing multiple rule strategy custom modes for the warehouse management brain WMS system, we can solve the problems of order initialization, order collection, inventory allocation, picking strategy, and delivery strategy generated under the conditions of multi-level orders, multiple SKUs, and multiple batches in provinces and cities, so as to optimize inventory and improve in and out efficiency.

Second, there are very few application cases of AGV transfer shuttles in the industry, and the few cases that have been used are not perfect. The difficulty lies in the small gap between the shuttle and the track. The shuttle is placed accurately on the track, which requires the positioning accuracy of the AGV and the cargo placement accuracy of the AGV to be at the millimeter level. Due to the limitation of the factory building, the reserved AGV driving channel space is only 2.7 meters. To solve this difficulty, the design uses non-standard forward-moving laser navigation forklift AGV, transforms the mechanical structure of the whole vehicle, and distributes the vehicle weight at multiple points through precise force calculation to ensure that the vehicle is small in size and safe to use. The compact body provides great convenience for vehicle positioning, and then the accuracy problem is solved by improving the positioning sensor and vehicle control system.

Value brought to customers

The project uses 6 forward-moving laser navigation forklift AGVs to work with shuttles. The original manual layer change has been changed to AGV automatic layer change, which has greatly improved the intelligence and automation of the workshop and reduced the labor intensity of workers. The introduction of Yufeng's systematic solution for scheduling functions has effectively solved the problems of large material transportation volume in the workshop, low efficiency and low accuracy of manual forklifts, and greatly improved the safety of workshop operations. At the same time, it also broke the conventional limitation of stackers or elevators docking shuttles, and helped the tobacco industry workshop upgrade to intelligence with minimal investment.
